European Parliament backs global services trade pact: MEPs set some “red lines” on regulation and transparency, by Hans von der Burchard

The European Parliament voted Wednesday to endorse a trade pact between the bloc and 22 countries on services from e-commerce to banking, though it set some demands including protection of governments’ right to regulate.
